Age verification commitments
GoChamie brands are for adults aged 18 and older. This page explains how we verify age, why we collect the information we do, and how we protect it. Keeping minors off our brands is a core safety commitment, not an afterthought.
Our standard
Everyone who uses our brands must be at least 18 years old. We do not make exceptions, and we treat circumvention of our age controls as a serious violation that results in removal.
How we verify age
We apply a layered, risk-based process. At sign-up, members pass a neutral age gate and provide a date of birth. Where appropriate or where the law requires it, we run identity and age verification through specialist partners, which may include checking a government-issued identification document and a live selfie, or using privacy-preserving age-estimation technology. We also use behavioral and account signals to detect likely underage users.
Re-verification and ongoing checks
Verification is not a one-time event. If reports, behavior, or other risk signals suggest a member may be under 18 or may have misrepresented their age, we may require re-verification and restrict the account until it is complete. Members who fail or refuse verification are removed.
Data minimization and protection
We collect only the information needed to confirm age and identity, we rely on PCI DSS and security-vetted verification partners, and we retain verification data only for as long as necessary to meet our safety and legal obligations before deleting or de-identifying it. We do not use verification documents for advertising. See our Privacy policy for details on retention and your rights.
What happens if a minor is found
If we find or reasonably believe an account belongs to a person under 18, we remove the account, delete the associated personal data in line with our Privacy policy, and, where the situation involves attempted exploitation, escalate it under our Child safety standards, including reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement where required.
